It Started With A T Shirt
The end of 2017 was the first wave of redundancies at Cadburys in Dunedin, and I had 17 paper bags standing on the floor in my lounge with handwritten messages all over them, the last words that you could say to your family and friends when you might not see them again. In side each bag was a calendar with photos celebrating each team mate and a t shirt made to provide hope. The t shirts had the words ‘Chocolate Queen’ & ‘Chocolate King’ written on the front. What unites people? It’s our stories. There’s nothing in the world more powerful than a good story. Nothing can stop it. People connect with a story and people start to heal with a story. – Game of Thrones Never be ashamed of your story of where you have come from wear it with so much pride like the pride you have for this t shirt.
